I made kalay chanay and then have left over for next day. I made some rice with the left over chanay. This rice was delicious. Please try this recipe. Follow me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/hinabarkat Ingredients: (For kalay chana curry) 2 cups Kalay Chana. 1/2 Onion. 1 tbsp minced Ginger-Garlic. 1 Tomato. 1/2 tsp Baking soda. 1 tsp Salt. 1 tsp Red chili powder. 1 Green chili pepper. Fresh Dhaniya. Recipe: Soak the chana over night. Drain and wash the chana before cooking. Add chana into the pressure cooker. Add onion, ginger-garlic, tomato and 1 cup water. Add baking soda, salt and red chili powder. Cover and pressure cook for 10 minutes. Uncover and start frying. Start adding oil slowly and keep frying. Fry until the oil separates. Add 2 cups of water and green chili pepper. Cover and let it simmer on medium heat for 5-7 minutes. Chanay are ready. Finish it off with fresh dhaniya (Cilantro). Ingredients: 1 cup Rice. 1/4 Onion. 1 Bayleaf. 1 Cinnamon stick. Pinch of Cumin seeds. 1 cup Cooked Chanay. 1 tsp Salt. 1 tsp Paprika. Recipe: (Rice) In a pan add oil and onion. Fry until light brown. Add bay leaf and cinnamon stick. Add cumin seeds. Fry for a minute. Add cooked channa. Fry for 1-2 minutes.Add 2 cups of water. Add salt and paprika. Bring it to a boil. Add rice. (Always soak rice for at least 30 minutes before cooking). Cook on high heat until the mosiuter is absorb. Cover and low the heat for 2-3 minutes. Use fork to fluff the rice. Raita: 1 Potato. 1 tbsp Butter. Pinch of Cumin seeds. 1/2 tsp Salt. 1/2 tsp Paprika. 1/2 cup Yogurt. 1/2 tsp Salt. (For Raita) 1/2 tsp Paprika. (For Raita) Fresh Dhaniya. Green chili pepper. Recipe: Boil 1 potato. Peel and cut the potatoes into small cubs. In a pan add butter. Add cumin seeds and fry for a minutes and add potatoes. Fry until it's golden brown. Add salt and paprika. Once the potatoes are nice and golden brown. Set aside. In a bowl add yogurt. Mix until smooth. Add potatoes, cucumber and tomatoes. Mix well. Add salt, paprika. Add fresh dhaniya and green chili pepper. Mix well. Serve with Rice.
