@solidsnake20853 years agoI was in the Navy as a Hull Tech. A word of advice, do your Maps program. I had 6 years experience and had to start as a 1st year because I didn't have documented hours. I'm now a Journeyman plumber, but would have been nice to have that advantage. ...4

@mediaondisplay30893 years agoInteresting. I am a plumber that started in the USAF. My job in the air force was "utility systems" which translates to "making, storing and distributing water" essentially a plumber with more emphasis on water production/chemistry. With that kind of experience and an honorable discharge I'm pretty much qualified to do any job that involves water; plumber, water plants, currently im in the water softener/reverse osmosis game. There's lots of opportunities in water. The biggest difference from doing military plumbing and civilian plumbing: in the civilian world there is much more emphasis on the way plumbing actually looks as opposed to functionality, so do clean work. ...4

@classact95572 years agoI'm currently serving on Active Duty in the U.S. Navy Seabees. My job is Utilitiesman (UT). Our job description is Plumber, HVAC/R, Water Treatment, and Wastewater Management. Pretty much anything involving piping, pumps, and the flow of fluids, that's what we do. It's such a good thing that you posted this video, because I want to stay in the trades once my enlistment is done. I'm looking to get into new construction plumbing. Either residential or commercial, whatever is available. ...1
