The last stop on our trip was to Mariposa Grove to see the Giant Sequoias. Redwoods by height are the tallest tree, the sequoia's by girth and mass are the largest in the world - maturing to 2000-3000yrs old! The Grizzly Giant (2000 yrs old) is the largest tree in the grove of 400 sequoia's with a 26ft diameter, 96ft circumference and height of 210ft tall. The camera simply does not capture their true size and beauty, you must go see them in person! We loved it! Go to the longer Mariposa Grove trail beyond the short Grizzly Trail loop. Well worth it for all the extra trees you get to see! Voted top 20 places to visit in 2020!
