Another thing about Angelina is that she is completely in control of the music she sings. She picks the songs and arranges them herself the way she wants them to be done. In the "I put a spell on you" video, when she was 9 years old, she is seen handing some written notes to the band director. The were her "wishes" about changes she would like in the arrangement.
Angelina has sung all over the world for Nobel Laureates, heads of state, music icons, and other dignitaries. She has performed everywhere from small weddings of a few people, to London's O2 stadium with 40,000 people. She performs at jazz festivals, conferences, and charity benefits. At the age of 14, she is a seasoned performer with 8 years of recording and performing. Many of her live performances when she was 10, 11, and 12 years old blow away even the original adult performers of the songs she sings. She is definitely worth your time to experience and get to know. She has covered Sinatra, Elvis, Aretha Franklin, Billie Holiday, Queen, Miley Cirus, Patsy Cline, James Brown, Lana Del Rey, Norma Jones, Adele, Ella Fitzgerald, Amy Winehouse, Michael Jackson, Screamin Jay Hawkins, and many more. Here is a good sampling of my favorites of hers that cover a variety of genres and ranges. The story of her bare feet is one of unbelievable commitment and caring. When she was 6 years old, she was traveling in the middle east (her grandmother is Iranian), and she came across a young girl close to her age who was working in the street offering to weigh people with a bathroom scale for money. She had no shoes on her feet and her feet were cracked and in pretty bad shape. They talked for a while and then the little girl mentioned how nice she thought Angelina's shoes were. Angelina asked her if she had any shoes and she said no, so Angelina gave her the shoes off her feet. Angelina asked her what her dreams were and the little girl said she wanted to be a doctor. Angelina told the little girl that she wanted to be a star and sing for the world. The little girl told Angelina she would pray for her every day and asked Angelina to not forget about her. Angelina made a promise at that time that any time she sang in public she would sing barefoot to remember this little girl and bring awareness to the suffering of children around the world. To this day, over 7 years later, she has stayed true to that commitment. She remains a very grounded and humble young lady She has spent the past 7 years pouring out her soul and her talent to help people who are not as fortunate as her. She donated much, if not most of her winnings from Norway's Got Talent to children's charities and has performed in benefit concerts across the globe in support of disadvantaged children and other social causes (raising over 20 million Euros). .. ...Expand 21
My introduction to Angelina was on her first appearance at Norway's Got Talent and I didn't expect much from a 7 year old. Just a cute little girl, all nervous, rushing the song in parts, hesitating and then stumbling over or forgetting her words and generally acting her age and doing her best to get through a childish song like "Twinkle, twinkle little star" What did I see? Well, it was a seven year old child, with wild hair and gaps in her mouth, where there once were Baby teeth. And that was when the normal perception ended and things turned upside down. She confidently answered the questions put to her by a Judge. Declared she was going to sing a song by the legendary Billie Holiday. Gestured off stage for the technician to start the music and then started singing. The body of the 7 year old was still there but the voice wasn't. Or was it? I was surprised then and that surprise is still with me, some six years later.
I have followed her career since I saw that first video on Youtube and in the six years she has been singing publicly she has mastered many musical genres, including Blues, Country, Disco, Jazz,Pop, R&B and Soul, EDM and Rock and covered songs first performed by many famous singers,like Adele, Whitney Houston, Nancy and Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Lana del Ray, Gloria Gaynor, Elvis Presley, Louis Armstrong and many others. What is more extraordinary is that she takes ownership of every song she sings while still paying respect to the original. You will notice that she never goes into unnecessary theatrics. Never sings those high or low notes unless they are absolutely necessary. Never projects herself in any performance which says "look how good I am" She just sings the song as she feels it is meant to be sung. And I'll add an even more extraordinary item for you to consider, to show how unique she is. She has the innate ability not only to sing a song as emotionally as the song deserves but to be able to communicate those same emotions to the listener.
As I have noted above, I have been following her career a long time and have listened to every interview she has given and every documentary about her and every performance she has ever given. What stands out for me is how a very shy and humble girl in her normal life, can be transformed into the perfect vehicle for the song she has chosen to sing, once she starts to sing.
Although the gift of singing and all her performances appear to be effortless, Angelina works very hard to ensure that the one she is going to record reflects what she sees as the correct way to meld both lyrics and melody. If you go to you will find many rehearsals where, not only do you get to see her rehearsing but being the "ordinary" girl she is (if indeed one is able to apply that adjective to her). Most of her performances are recorded in her home studio,either with background music or a single guitar. Most are done in one take. She treats the whole thing as a hobby. As we would have said when I was young. "There is no 'side' to her" She is completely transparent to the world.
Perhaps you would like to go back a few years and work forward. By doing so, you will come to the realisation that she is "unique" and I don't use that word loosely. There is truly no other singer who has her versatility and sheer ability to communicate the emotions of a song to her listeners. I doubt there is another singer who works so hard to ensure that, when she sings the song,it is sung in such a way that her listener becomes enmeshed in the emotions

she is always in command when she performs in a very humble respectful manner to band members. Angelina is like no other I heave ever witnessed in her many abilities for one so young .she touches one right down to their heart and soul when she sings. :To bring you up to date on her background:
(Angelina a short history ); Angelina has been singing since she was 1.5 years old (18 months started singing a Whitney Huston song , video on you tube of this here is the link at on this video is her at 1.5 years old ) later she was taken by jazz and started singing jazz classics as her grandmother introduced her to jazz tunes. Her singing is her life and her passion . her mother tried to get her to sing nursery songs and she just flat out refused to involve her self in that nonsense.
She is her own driving force no one dictates to her what she does in her singing or preparations, it is all her 110%. the following are her own songs . Angelina had over 500 million views of her singing videos before her performance on AGT The Champions now her views are in the billions . Angelina was well known all over the world except in America up until her AGT Champions , mini concert.
She sings bare foot since she was 6 years old to honor a bare foot orphan he met girl around her own age around 6 years old whom had no shoes and had scars on her feet, she weighing people on a bathroom scale to support her and her siblings. Angelina at six years old took her shoes off and gave them to this poor girl, and Angelina has performed on stage in honor of the pledge she made to her not to sing on stage with shoes on form then on . Angelina has honored that pledge for last 8 years . Angelina takes on a different voice for each song she covers to give homage to the song, and never tries to show off her vocal abilities but always gives each song its due respect. Angelina has a 5 octave range and her low note ability is just mind blowing for a pre-teen or now at just a mere 14 years as of Jan. 10 ,2020.
