Are Weapons Like Gnawing Hunger a Problem in the Crucible (No, They Are Not) | Destiny 2 PvP

Please don't shred me, I was unaware that Gnawing Hunger actually came back with NO NEW PERKS at all, kinda wack, and I wrongly assumed otherwise. Either way, it is much, much more available to everyone as it drops in the wild now. Anywho, this video is just a discussion weighing both sides of the argument, "Diversity vs. Skill Cap". It seems the past couple of Seasons have brought a few easy to acquire, fast ttk weapons to the Crucible. Many people view this as an issue, as it's perfectly reasonable to want player investment to be respected in terms of reward and skill cap. However, this can lead to very stale metas, especially at the higher end of the skill spectrum. My question is, can we find a balance? Not to say that the Crucible is in a particularly bad place right now, as I'm actually enjoying it more now than I have in a long time, but if everyone gets easy access to a NUKE of an AR or Pulse Rifle, it's going to see extremely high usage.
