It is a super packed rice water for hair growth recipe that is sure to appeal to all those who are repulsed by the smell of onion juice. It also contains tea tree oil which has antibacterial and antifungal properties that encourages hair growth. Onion contains sulphur amongst other vitamins and minerals. Sulphur is a mineral that is present in every cell in our body with its greatest concentration in hair, skin and nails. Onion juice has been shown to be effective in reducing the appearance of grey hairs, fighting alopecia and also in the management/treatment of male or premature balding. Ginger contains an antioxidant called gingerol, which helps to fight free radicals which damage hair cells and can cause hair thinning and hair loss. By fighting the free radicals, this ginger hair mask helps to prevent hair thinning and hair loss. Ginger is also a great hair conditioner and is rich in minerals and essential oils, it makes hair more manageable, softer and shinier. Rice water is an ancient hair growth secret that has been used for centuries by the Japanese, Chinese and Southeastern Asian women. The Yao minority women from Huangluo village, in Guangxi province in Southern China are known to have extraordinarily long hair that stays black until they are around 80 years old.
