What works for one therapist won’t always work for others. Your colleague swears by blogging. They’re also more consistent than you & write better. Blogging may not work for you. Your office neighbor is doing a ton of public speaking. You hate public speaking. Copying a colleague’s marketing plan may not work for you, even if it seems like it’s working well for them. Your ideal clients look for therapy in different ways. Your natural skills & interests are different. It’s why I don’t have a marketing plan prescription for therapists building a practice. It’d be much easier for me to market what I do, but it wouldn’t work as well for therapist. Instead we talk about several marketing strategies that bring results, help people think through which of them are the best fit for them, then teach them the best practices for each. Your marketing plan needs to be something relatively easy that you enjoy doing or it won’t be consistent. Want help developing your own?
