Prime Minister Scott Morrison has announced the federal government and New South Wales government will equally share the cost of cleaning up the devastation left behind as flood waters recede. “We will carry this load together as we have already carried so many other loads together over these last few years,” he said. “What that means is we’ll be able to support small business grants for those directly impacted … of up to $50,000 and importantly primary producer grants of up to $75,000. “The partnership between the NSW government and the federal government has been extraordinary." The announcement follows a tour carried out by the prime minister, Premier Gladys Berejiklian and Deputy Premier John Barilaro of flood-damaged areas of the Mid North Coast.
