We can find a difference between the lengths of two objects by measuring to find the length of each object. Then we write a subtraction equation to find the difference between the two lengths. We do a quick review of how to measure with a centimeter ruler. We measure and compare several different objects to find their differences. We solve two word problems that involve comparing lengths. When we measure an object, we will get an actual length, the real length. When we estimate, we are making a good guess that would be close to the actual length. We discuss longer and longest lines.
