@craigblakes549911 months ago This year marks 40 years of New Edition. They just got done touring, and want to do a Vegas Residency. Bobby was with them on tour. One of my favorites. They are all in their 50s, and are still doing these dance moves. My second favorite group behind the ones that started it all, Jackson 5 ... 16

@cmapp1969one week ago i'm late but i have gone to many of their concerts and it was so fun. i was in my teens. But when i was in my thirties i went to a New Edition concert in Georgia and every song was sung by the crowd, no one sat down the whole concert. ... 1

@sixfootbeautylast year They are still doing this. They are on tour now with Bobby Brown performing with them. And they still sell out basketball arenas. Look up NE Culture Tour. 40 years in the business!❤ 34

@misstriciak8 months ago That's why boy bands start young, they have hours and hours of rehearsal in heated rooms.
New Edition started this routine when they were 12 years old. By the time they reach 20 as in this video, they were in full bloom.
Groups like Nkotb or Backstreet Boys were modeled after this same regimen.

@glennramsey9327one week ago NE still does it today in their 50's!! 1
  • @
@gabrielmcdonnell8699last year Appreciate the reaction. Like another commenter, I prefer the studio version but I understand reacting to this rendition bc NE knows how to work a crowd. Even in their 50’s! 15

@teensymom1420last year I think I see Johnny Gill up there. He had a great solo album that I just wore out. The song Rub You The Right Way was amazing! 6

@1011skarn10 months ago RnB as we knew it is dead. 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and then.... it started to die in the 2000s. One of you said it right..... we have SOLO artists now, but we do not have RnB GROUPS bc people do NOT want to be together, share the spotlight. But hearing someone's voice layered is not as good as blending different voices together. That is why this music was magic for a time. ... 5

@lanceborders7340last year new jack swing was the sound of that time, the dancey type sound! love the reactions! jimmy jam and terry lewis are absolutely goated, like they are behind so much music in the late 80s into the 90s 4
  • @
@NinaBaby21010 months ago I LOVED your reaction! Nicely done Guys! NE: LEGENDS❤❤ 4
  • @
@legman1476last year Okay, I didn't know you guys were into this. I recommend Tony! Toni! Toné! "Anniversary" and "Feels Good." And from New Edition member Johnny Gill's "Rub You the Right Way." 15

@Mama_San9 months ago Greatest, most precise video I've ever seen. My favorite New Edition video and song. 2
  • @
@lanceflx6311 months ago The genre is Soul music…the sub genre is the Minneapolis Sound because it was produced by the great Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis. 4

@brodiejr4real7 months ago You all have to do some other songs, from the members, that they did independent of NE. BBD, Bobby Brown, Ralph Tresvant and Johny Gill. 2

@chicagocubs718 months ago Fellas U guys have to react to Word To The Mutha by new edition aka bell, biv & devoe. 4

@fantasyguru26last year New Jack Swing was a cross between r&b and hip hop sounds. It has no relation to jazz. The genre was prevalent from about 1987-1993. The architect of that sound was Teddy Riley. I wouldn't necessarily say that this tune was "New Jack' per se. I would agree that of all the NE songs you've done so far, this one would rank at the bottom. Its a good song nonetheless. And as one who has seen New Edition in concert they do change their outfits and their sets go at least 1.5-2 hours. ... 7

@ednoroirika9 months ago The heartbreak album isn’t “New Jack Swing” Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis had the Minneapolis sound which was really soulful . New Jack Swing isn’t really a genre, but a sound that was created by Teddy Riley. People confuse that all the time. ... 2

@themajicman745last year React to the 70's family group who were awesome ...The Sylvers singing "Boogie Fever" on the Midnight Special. Also react to the boy group of the 70's.....The Brighter Side of Darkness singing "Love Jones" on Soul Train ... 3
  • @
@fredbennett354911 months ago One of my favorite old school N.E songs they don't sing that much for some reason but it was a big hit 3
  • @
@rosemarywatson1231last year I guess if you spend your young years together, you learn to jell. The moves were orchestrated by an older guy., but still fire! 5
  • @
@dumdumbushlast year The groove and beat of this reminds me of a song by the group "Scritti Politti" called "Perfect Way" released in 1985. Check it out sometime, you'll probably like it. The video has no dancing, though! LOL ... 3
  • @
@glennramsey93278 months ago Shows were about 1 and a half to two hours 1
  • @
@michellejones-zu1kqlast year You need to look up Michael Stanley band. Trust me you will love it. 3
  • @
@TubeMySwaglast year The album version is far more superior than this video version. The production is way better and more “new jack swing” sounding. 10
  • @
@calvingreen5202last year Great reaction!! But....I will say one thing. The studio version had a much better production, much better song construction, than this performance. Do yourselves a favor and find that version, and react to that. I think it's far better. I owned this "cassette" and played this song on repeat...it wasn't this version, though. I like your diversity, in your reactions. ... 9
  • @
@L1623VPlast year Hurry up and do How Much I Feel and You're the Only Woman (Ambrosia), Turn Your Love Around (George Benson) and Rich Girl (Hall & Oates). 7

  • @
@jeffturner73939 months ago I don't know who in the blue hell these three jabroni are, so let me school do more New Jack Swing. It was a vented by Teddy Riley and Brooklyn New York before he made his own group Guy, with himself Aaron and Damion Hall. He also produced Heavy D & The Boyz, Bobby Brown, Michael Jackson, Al be sure and a lot of other R&B groups it was a whole new gender of Music starting in 80s with a few hip-hop artists too . Teddy Riley is one of the greatest music producers of all time ...
  • @
@monicapaniccioli69858 months ago I loved their hit songs but this one sounds too much like pieces of those to make this one. I do agree how hard they worked with the dance routines and sing at the same time. 1
  • @
@dewdew34last year Like the choreography better than the song. Drum track is harsh ... 2
  • @
@GaryKirkham-ju8gwlast year Would be nice to contrast this band with "Next" from the late 90's/00's led by the brilliant RL Huggar ... 2
  • @
