@nabi70523 years ago I feel like stans in general shoudnt talk about idols weights at all. Firstly you as a kpop stan are here to enjoy their music not nitpick things about them. Also some stans and their mind set about body weights can tend to be disgusting or sometimes its full of hypocrisy ... 132

@seokiology3 years ago Honestly an idol's health isn't transparent. Think of SNSD yuri, she's considered as a health queen bc she has a curvy figure when she used to yoyo diet alot (which is basically u loose a lot of weight then gain a lot in a short period of time, it's a sign of doing a crash diet. Amfg videos has a video about it). Your health is based on actions not how u look. Lisa states she eats healthly and actively excerises. ... 179

@theeepidural61443 years ago man i was a Next Level anti to the fullest but I CANT STOP doing that arm movement and singing it💀💀. it’s sick how much this song grew on me😭 110
  • @
@lazyone41423 years ago "stay is underrated" for a song like that the views it got there's nothing underrated about that 78

@jenyahcunningham98503 years ago 1. I hate the fact that people praise Hwasa’s body type but will call jeongyeon “fAt” in a heartbeat. It makes absolutely no sense to me.
    2. sm was the only company that actually had the guts to create a group like SuperM. He literally grouped some of the most talented people in the industry and called them the Avengers of Kpop. That takes guts that only sm entertainment has.
    3. I agree big 3 privilege is not a bad thing.
    4. Not everything needs to be a competition.

@lazyone41423 years ago for the minimum praise opinion, i saw a video of Irene and they paint as like Irene was uncomfortable around someone and Jackson saved her by doing literally nothing and people were praising him like he saved lives. 72

@somekpopfan3 years ago people shouldn't talk about someone else's weight in general, just out of respect for the person they're talking about. i hate how netizens forget that idols are human beings at the end of the day and they might see what ppl are saying about things like their weight, and it might have a negative affect on their health, physically and/or mentally. ... 56

@pinkaengelz3 years ago I can't with Jessi honestly, the fact that SOME kpop stans look to her as the "un-problematic" or "good" k-hip hop artist is laughable. She blatantly tries to blackfish and cultural appropriate. It's emBARRassing... ... 142
  • @
@niki59233 years ago Kpop stans really need a dictionary so bad "underrated" "overrated" "mistreatment" "unhealthy" "healthy" and so many more words are so badly misused like y'all can't just throw them around like this you're making them lose their real meaning ... 75
  • @
@alondraa.35223 years ago FINALLY SOMEONE CALLS OUT JESSI’S BLACKFISHING. She also recently made a colorist comment too like?? Ma’am how you gonna make a colorist comment when you’re trying your hardest to be black. Make it make sense. 130
  • @
@seokiology3 years ago People were praising idols for posting a black square even though those idols havent apologized for doing blackface or saying the n-word. 37
  • @
@theeepidural61443 years ago the healthy thing is so tired. im tired of going under every Jeongyeon vid and the 1st thing they talk about is her weight or what not. you can compliment her like you used to but now all they say is “i love that she has more weight” “the weight looks good on her” and “omg she looks so healthy now”… like can’t y’all talk about anything else but her weight🙎🏾‍♂️ ... 58
  • @
@DivjotKM3 years ago on the topic of associating health with looks, people really forget that skinny shaming is a thing, it's just as bad as fat-shaming. 16
  • @
@isabear4783 years ago Tbh I feel like ppl are listening to a song way too much bcs they want to like it and after 30 times y’all are like “it’s grown on me” 16
  • @
@saint94683 years ago I’m a relatively new Kpop Stan and I actually thought Jessi was Black and Korean 45
  • @
@meliovviedo3 years ago Its really funny because I once said on Twitter that Jessi wasnt that unproblematic (not to say "is problematic") and I got attacked so bad because "YoU sTaN nCt" "iF thiS wAs a maLe idOl 😒" like- ... 22
  • @
@orbitmelody3 years ago Yes I completely agree with the first one. Like make it make sense. 34

@terra58573 years ago and keep in mind that these people can still say it behind the cameras but we’ll never know, but i’d rather not know then have it be on camera for all the fans to see ... 14

@daegyeom49343 years ago you ranted so hard, I think you might need an inhaler after this 20
  • @
@caljarylnunez43743 years ago People praise their faves for singing live. It is a bare minimum for artists to sing and dance because that is what they were trained to do. 14
  • @
@jbun80423 years ago the ignore part i definitely am gonna listen to. i got accused of being a jeongyeon anti for saying that people should look at the positives like jeongyeon being able to perform instead of the negatives (being the amount of lines in this case) 😐😐 ... 19

@Shaz-oo8lq3 years ago I wish SM and companies in general start teaching their idols about racism, colourism and CA. I stan a lot of SM groups cause theyre pure talent but I cringe whenever they make jokes about these issues. I understand Korea is in it's own bubble, they grew up with different perspectives of the world, but just when I think my boys Exo stopped being colourists, they say something about Kai's skin. Like dudes please you guys are talented af and legit kindhearted and I will stan u and ur music for all eternity but please educate yourself on these issues huhu and just stop being colourists 🥲 ... 30
  • @
@lazyone41423 years ago people be saying that the groups from big three just got lucky but please, your fave tried to get into those big three before and they failed. getting into those big companies is hard and as a reward you will have the privilege which isn't a bad thing. ... 39

@americxno3 years ago I hate it when an idol loses weight before a comeback and looks much skinnier and everyone is like “I’m worried about XX I hope they’re being healthy” and then when an idol gains weight fast they be like “omg she looks so much healthier this comeback” LIKE PICK A SIDE?? Either gaining and losing weight fast is bad or gaining and losing weight fast isn’t bad. You can’t pick and choose based on which one it is. Both can be u healthy and both can be healthy, y’all don’t know the idols y’all don’t need to assume.
Honestly idk if anyone else feels this way but if an idol sees “he/she gained weight this comeback and looks so healthy and happy” and turns out they’ve been binge eating or yoyoing or being unhealthy, do y’all think the idol would be happy? They might continue their unhealthy habits. And if they’re being healthy and lose a ton of weight and see “I’m worried he/she’s so skinny he/she lost weight” do you think they’d keep the healthiness up or try and do what they can to gain a little bit more weight? And this doesn’t even include what the company decides for them. Itzy’s chaeryeong and ryujin’s weight fluctuates so much between comebacks if y’all have noticed, this doesn’t mean they’re unhealthy but it also doesn’t mean they’re healthy. Unless they come out and say something directly we should NOT assume because we may do more harm than good.

  • @
@nadiaamelia78353 years ago I don't enjoy jessi's content at all since she's a bit too 'harsh' for my taste, so i never watch her, all i know is EVERYONE loves her for being super straightforward when in reality she's just rude for show askjskj yall there this thing called manners yk why tf would you support THAT😭
turns out she's problematic too whoop shouldnt be surprise ig

@88Manel883 years ago Why do kpop stans never learn? Like, a groups does a comebacks and some people are like "this song is bad" "its meh" "the production is bad" etc. And then a week later everyone loves that song, and they say how they used to hate it BuT nOW ItS GRowN On MME, AND THEN THE NEXT WEEK ANOTHER GROUP DOES A COMEBACK AND THEY SAY THE SAME BAD STUFF AND THEN "OMG I HATED IT BUT ITS GROWN ON ME" like pls maybe just not shit on the song the day it comes out? ... 7

@caljarylnunez43743 years ago Being healthy has to be in relation with someone's height and weight. BMI (BODY MASS INDEX) to be exact. There are many HEALTH aspects and how to determine if someone is healthy. People are now losing common sense in KPOP. ... 15
  • @
@boombayuna5363 years ago agree with all of your takes + i'm really glad you mentioned this weight topic cause i'm so tired of it. like you said idols can look like for example ryujin or hwasa ("thick queens" how the stans call them umm) but still eat unhealthy to maintain that weight. and idols can look like lisa, rosé or yuna but still have a healthy eating pattern. different body types exist even in kpop everyone, let's stop calling idols healthy/unhealthy based on their looks only. i don't understand why everyone is so focused on their weight in general, i thought we're here for the music. it's kinda rude & unnecessary to comment on someone else's body anyway especially if you don't know anything about their personal life and backstory. ... 15

  • @
@seokiology3 years ago It's funny bc Jessi is literally from the white parts of New Jersey yet acts like she's from the 'hood'.
I was watching her interview on ASC with day6 Jae and hooollyy her voice is so different. It's so obvious she's forcing a blaccent/AAVE. ...

@theeepidural61443 years ago atp stans want their group to be underrated like…being immensely popular isn’t a bad thing🥴 12
  • @
@SyedaTasnia3 years ago I used to hate how you like that so much and now I love it! I also used to hate home by svt, I just couldn't stand it and now I love it. So I guess it can happen sometimes hehe 11

@hobi15353 years ago alright here is something I need to get off my chest lmao: I'm not an nctezen (if that's how you spell it) and I don't think I'll ever be one💞💗. but has a black person, if SM wants that nct to uh ReSoNaTe into the west they need to sit down and apologize for of all of the CA and for some of the remarks made from nct. Has a black stan it really isn't my job to educate idols, Google Is free and I'm pretty sure they have one of best internet systems in the world. And pushing this whole nct Hollywood thing ain't really gonna work in my eyes 🏃‍♂️💀✋. And nct is talented dont get me wrong, just some stuff that has happened bugs me a bit ... 2

@nikolahetn9443 years ago I truly hated Wee Woo by Pristin, but sang it ironically for do long that I started to really like it.
I also hated Chewing Gum for many years and randomly decided to listen to it to see how I feel about it now and I love it 😩
But I think that the word 'hate' is definitely overused. I think there are like max 3 kpop songs I hate.

@celiacuadra61733 years ago finally someone said it!!! Now that Ryujin lost some weight they say she's "unhealthy" like if she was unhealthy she wouldn't even be able to dance as she does, she would be really weak and would look unhealthy on her face pls the girl looks as happy as before and so pretty, people should stop that nonsense😭 ...

Of course African-Americans are more likely to speak up about insensitive actions, after all, K-Pop music industry is constantly being inspired by the African-American music scene.

@gigi82543 years ago y'all need to understand that saying " x-group or x-group is underrated" is an opinion . That just means that I personally find that they deserve even more fame. So even saying "BTS is underrated" is valid since that just means that, in my opinion , BTS deserves even more fame that they already have. ...
