She was founding Editor of ArtNow, Pakistan first online magazine on contemporary art. In 2011, Nafisa curated Stop, Play, Pause, Repeat an exhibition of 11 contemporary Pakistani artists at Lawrie Shabibi Gallery, Dubai. She has written for several publications locally and internationally, like Imprint Australia and Art Asia Pacific, Hong Kong, and lectured at College of Fine Art at UNSW in Sydney, Australia (2013), where she also participated in a printmaking residency. Nafisa curated an exhibition at Philadelphia’s Twelve Gates Gallery in October 2015 of four talented emerging artists from Pakistan titled They Really Live the Real Reality. Nafisa recently gave a lecture titled “Art: The esoteric Investment” to the Pakistan Club at the University of Chicago. She is currently founder editor of the online art magazine artemesiaartinpakistan and is writing a book on the trajectories of visual art in Pakistan. Plot Summary: Growing up in a large, extended family cloistered in a haveli, Zaibunnissa is an unusual, insightful little girl who acquires the most extraordinary set of friends by chance. Events take a nasty turn when she decides to expose the evil machinations of a fictitious moulvi, and is hurriedly married off to an older man she has never seen. While Zaibunnissa must contend with fending off hostile in-laws and protecting loved ones, she is faced with a decision that will change her life and the lives of many people who depend on her. The question is, will she be able to choose wisely "The Blue Room" is set against the backdrop of a feudal tradition, replete with the grandeur of its havelis and the myths that live within them.
